San Diego Chargers linebacker Manti Te’o is believed to have suffered a torn Achilles in Sunday’s loss to the Indianapolis Colts, a source told NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

Te’o is set to undergo an MRI to confirm the injury, which would end his season.

The 25-year-old crumpled to the ground when he attempted to quickly change directions, and appeared to be in significant pain in what was a non-contact injury.

The loss of the four-year pro would be devastating to a Chargers team already reeling from the season-ending injuries of wideout Keenan Allen and running back Danny Woodhead.

If Te’o is done for the year, rookie Jatavis Brown is the most likely candidate to step into the starting lineup.
