Odell Beckham Jr. is once again paying a price for his on-field actions.
The New York Giants wide receiver has been fined $24,309 for unsportsmanlike conduct in Monday night’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
Beckham’s most recent discipline presumably stems from an after-the-whistle incident with Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes when he made contact in reaction to a late hit on the sideliens.
While the incident appeared innocuous, it drew a flag nonetheless and the significant fine is in line with that of a repeat offender.
Beckham’s on-field behavior has been a hot topic in the football world since his infamous slugfest with Josh Norman led to a one-game suspension last year, with every such incident further bolstering the negative reputation.
He was also fined $36,000 earlier this season for a blindside hit on New Orleans Saints safety Kenny Vaccaro.
