Talk about playing through the pain.
On Tuesday, MLB Network reporter Heidi Watney tweeted a photo of an ugly sprained ankle, which Cleveland Indians second baseman Jason Kipnis will attempt to play through in the World Series.
The tweet, which described the injury as a Grade 2 ankle sprain, was later deleted by Watney.
Kipnis, one of the most durable players at his position throughout the 2016 campaign, appeared in 156 games for the Indians during the regular season, ranking him fourth in the American League.
He’s also appeared in all eight of the Indians postseason games, struggling to a .167/.219/.367 slash line.
