Hall of Fame wide receiver Jerry Rice apologized for using the phrase “All Lives Matter” when commenting on Colin Kaepernick’s anthem protest in an August tweet.
When I said All Lives Matter I didn’t know about the movement going on between Black Lives Matter. I want to apologize for my mistake!

The tweet he’s referring to read, “All lives matter. So much going on in this world today. Can we all just get along! Colin, I respect your stance but don’t disrespect the Flag.”
Rice, who initially criticized Kaepernick’s protest, did a 180 on the subject in September, saying he supported the 49ers’ quarterback for “bringing awareness for injustice.”
