Soon-to-be retired veteran umpire John Hirschbeck will serve as crew chief for the men in charge of enforcing the rules for the 112th World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Cleveland Indians.

The 62-year-old will be officiating his fifth Fall Classic – his third as crew chief.

Hirschbeck will be joined by Larry Vanover, Chris Guccione, Marvin Hudson, Tony Randazzo, Joe West, and Sam Holbrook.

Hirschbeck, who announced he will retire after the World Series, has also worked 10 division series, five league championship series, and three All-Star games.

Game 1 goes Tuesday at Progressive Field.
