Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert is trying to make life easier for Cleveland’s two major fan bases.
Ahead of Game 6 of the World Series at Cleveland’s Progressive Field on Tuesday, Gilbert tweeted his attempt to move the Cavaliers game back an hour from its usual 7:10 p.m. ET tipoff time to 6:00 p.m., which was approved by the NBA.
CLE, we fought hard to move @cavs tip to 6pm tomorrow so you wouldn’t be torn. @cavs game should end by 2nd inning. Can’t wait, @Indians!

The Houston Rockets, the team slated to face the Cavaliers, initially had their request to bump the start time back denied by the NBA, presumably leading to Gilbert stepping in to help the cause.
First pitch in Game 6 is set for 8:08 p.m., meaning Cavaliers and Indians fans will be at peace knowing they can watch both their beloved teams, with the Tribe one win away from their first World Series since 1948.
