The Indianapolis Colts have had discussions with free-agent linebacker Zach Brown about a potential deal, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reports.
It’s unclear how successful the talks were, however, as Brown is currently visiting with the Oakland Raiders.
The 27-year-old represents an instant upgrade for the Colts, who have one of the thinnest inside linebacking groups in the league. D’Qwell Jackson was cut earlier in the offseason, leaving Antonio Morrison and Edwin Jackson as Indy’s potential starting duo for 2017.
Brown started 16 games for the Buffalo Bills in 2016, racking up 149 total tackles, four sacks, one interception, and two forced fumbles.
